5 San Diego Athletes Advance to the Finals!


San Diego ; 5 San Diego athletes have earned the chance to compete at half-time of the Sunday, December 1st Chargers/Broncos game at Qualcomm Stadium – 1:05pm game time, in the NFL Gatorade Punt, Pass and Kick Championship.

These 5 winners have won on the local and sectional level. Their scores were averaged in with other Sectional winners from all over Southern California. The top 5 first place scorers in each age group advance to the Chargers Championship.

Gridiron Girls Inc. and the San Diego SunFire held the Sectional Competition on Sunday, November 3rd. That’s where more than 150 young San Diego County athletes were on hand for the contest at the Ray and Joan Kroc Community Corps Center in La Mesa.

At the Chargers Championships, each of the forty (40) competitors will begin anew with a score of zero (0). The top finisher within each age bracket at this level will be declared the NFL GATORADE PUNT, PASS & KICK CHARGERS CHAMPION. The top finisher is the participant who has achieved the highest final score for that round.

San Diego SunFire Owner/GM and Gridiron Girls Inc. Founder, Donna Fox, and SunFire Director of Football Operations, Darrell McGaughy will be on hand to assist with the Chargers PPK competition.
